As for my proposal towards project, it’s an e-commerce demo system. It consists of several sub system in terms of product/item, order, account/customer and message queue subsystem. The business goals of the system are identifying several hot issues on e-commerce system on tech and business aspects both. During the decades, by the explosive online shopping conversion from off line in-personal store, e-commerce becomes a big industry and some outdated technologies and solutions are not able to carry out the big tech needs. Especially the business model gradually shift to on-line store. Which is a big challenge. One head issue is the technology breakout on overselling. In the past, in order to prevent overselling, engineers deployed more machines to handle the large number of the request. The relational databases limited the business expansion. Then NoSQL and message queue system(JMS) comes to successfully dismiss the issue. Then the business vision expanded. This paper is to demonstrate the how to develop large throughout and high performance e-commerce website system. As a solution to ask for approval, the capstone project focus on the architectural points in terms of RESTful micro service design and overselling prevention. The project increased the capacity on the shopping apex, which increase the possibility of the bid and trade, eventually improve the ability to compete to the rivals.

Restaurants are a tricky business to start and even more challenging to stabilize and make profitable over a short period of time. The standard logic is if you can make it past the two year mark, more than likely you will be alright. That said, the standard logic for most business start ups has been largely thrown out a window because of the pandemic and other changes that have come as a result of it. Food service especially has experienced significant challenges that have resulted in the closing of many restaurants. Those businesses that have been able to pivot very quickly towards take out and the use of food delivery apps and services have been able to survive and thrive. That said, we are heading into yet another potentially very challenging time when it comes to food, as we discussed in class. The next 6 months, at least from my research, suggest we are heading into a period where food may become scarce in the US…and WILL become scarce in much of the developing world. As such, it will become more expensive. Combine this with increasing inflation and little to know wage increases to keep up with it, potential diners will have less disposable income to dine out…or order in. NOW…. I’ve laid out a dire context here haven’t I? It is not my intention to divert you from this project idea. Actually, quite the opposite! If you are able to work through these challenges and develop an idea/system/business plan that successfully addresses these issues, you may very well be in a position to launch a very successful venture!
